A stamp book (which is used for pilgrims to collect
    stamps of every shrine and temple they visited)
    was the starting point for the piece 'wrapping'.

    The journey to Japan was a personal pilgrimage:
    to discover and remember visual treasures of Japan;
    the store around the corner, a stamp embedded into the street pavement,
    the lovingly-taken-care-for cherry trees, the entrance into a family house.

    In 2009 this piece was part of the exhibition "Scanning Japan" at the Reed Whipple Cultural Art Center, Las Vegas, NV
